Terms of access.
The operative terms for an Editorial Desk account, stated plainly. These are what you accept when you apply.
The terms
- Access is vetted and free. Desk accounts are approved by a person, for working picture desks, editors and researchers. You pay only when you license.
- Browsing grants no rights. Seeing an image in the Desk is not a licence. Usage rights come only from a completed deal, under the licence terms shown at checkout and printed on your licence document.
- No scraping or redistribution. Don't bulk-download, index, or pass Desk access or previews outside your organisation. Accounts belong to named people at the organisation that applied.
- Licences are per deal. Each licence covers what its usage class says — editorial use, one title — and is recorded permanently in the deal ledger and the delivered file's Content Credentials. See how licensing works.
- Honesty cuts both ways. We can suspend desks that misuse access; suspension revokes access immediately but never touches completed licences — what you licensed stays licensed and on the record.
- Data. Desk accounts live in an identity system separate from the photographer community. We use one analytics cookie, only with consent. See the privacy policy.
